Our team
We call them the dog whisperers and total legends. They honestly make GAIA what it is — restoring faith and trust in our wonderful dogs, with humans, after everything they've been through.

Meet
Manager
Meet Kadek, our sanctuary manager. Feeding rounds, vet runs, admits and the hundred small calls that keep 220 dogs safe and cared for — Kadek keeps every day at GAIA on track. Calm, steady and relentlessly practical, he turns the chaos of a Bali rescue into a place that actually runs.

Meet
Dog Whisperer
Meet Topox, one of our amazing all-rounders at GAIA. Great energy and an always-happy attitude — he's never afraid to jump in wherever he's needed, whether that's backing up the team, caring for the dogs, or getting the unglamorous jobs done. Topox keeps GAIA running smoothly, and we're so grateful for his hard work, positivity and willingness to always lend a hand.

Meet
Dog Whisperer
Meet Gusto, one of our dog whisperers. The nervous ones, the scared ones, the ones no one else can reach — Gusto is the hand they learn to trust first. Patient and quiet, he brings dogs back to themselves after everything they've been through.

Meet
Dog Whisperer
Meet Peter, one of our dog whisperers. Where there's a dog that needs handling — a bath, a wound check, a loading-up for the vet — Peter makes it look easy. Gentle with the scared ones and steady with the wild ones, he's a calm the whole sanctuary leans on.

Meet
Dog Whisperer
Meet Rizal, one of our dog whisperers. From early feeds to late-night pups, Rizal shows up for every dog like they're his own. Big-hearted and tireless, he knows each one by name and by nature — and they know him right back.

Meet
Chief Dog Playmaker, Entertainer & Champion
Meet Yuda, our chief dog playmaker, entertainer and champion! He creates fun, stimulating spaces where our dogs can play, explore and stay engaged — something that is especially important for our paralysed dogs. He also helps keep GAIA clean, healthy and happy for every dog. We're so grateful for the energy, care and joy Yuda brings every day.

Meet
The Man Behind the Meals
Meet Tegar, the man behind the meals. Every morning and every evening, Tegar feeds 220+ dogs at GAIA — the measuring, the cooking, the carrying, the bowl-by-bowl calm of it. He keeps the whole sanctuary fed and on schedule, and the dogs know his routine better than anyone.

Meet
Chief Dog Groomer
Meet Ipande Made, our chief dog groomer and the one who keeps the dogs' washing schedule on track. He also oversees our walking rotations, making sure as many dogs as possible get their walks — and even more when visitors come to help. A true all-rounder, always jumping in wherever he's needed. We're incredibly grateful for everything he does for our dogs.

Meet
Couldn't do this without them
Meet the doctors and nurses who answer every late-night call. Wounds, parvo, motorbike strikes, the slow recovery of a dog who's never been held — they're the medical backbone of every rescue that makes it, and the compassion behind the ones that don't.
The world would be a kinder place if everyone could love as unconditionally as a dog — they ask for nothing but kindness, and they give you everything they have.
In honour of every dog who found their way to GAIA

Lastly, to our amazing visitors who come and deliver supplies, give the dogs lots of cuddles, and show us endless support — thank you. You are part of this team too.
